Important Astrological Rules regarding 5th House

These are the general but important astrological rules compiled from different authentic classical texts of vedic astrology.
- If the lord of 5 or the house itself is aspected by powerful Jupiter there will be many children. If Lagna Lord joins 5 and its lord is powerful, Jupiter is well situated, or if the lord of 5 and Jupiter occupy Visaehakamsa aspected by benefics the person will have children.

1. If the lord of 2 is in 5H, well aspected by Jupiter, or if the lord of birth is with the lord of 5 or aspect each other the person will have children.
2. If LL and 5L occupy quadrants with benefics, and the lord of 2 is powerful, or if the lord of the Navamsa occupied by the lord of 5 is with a good planet or is aspected by him, or if the lords of l and 9 occupy 7, and the lord of 2 is in 1 the person will have many children.
3. If 5H as well as its lord is placed between evil planets and Jupiter is in company with malefics, there will be loss of children. If the lords of the navamsas occupied by the lords of 9, 5, 7 are in conjunction with evil planets the person will see his children die. If 5L occupies a debilitated Navamsa or is joind by weak, debilitated or combust planets, aspected by malefics or occupies with melefics 8, 6, 12, his children will die. If the lord of 5 occupies 3, 6, or 12 and is aspected by malefics his children will die.
4. If Moon, Venus and malefics occupy respectively 10, 7 and 4 with the lord of 1 in conjunction with Mercury, or if malefics occupy l2, 5, 8, or if Moon and Jupiter occupy birth aspected by Mars and Saturn, the person’s family becomes extinct. If all the melefics occupy 4 or if all of them occupy 12, 5, 8 and l the person’s family becomes extinct.
5. If Mercury is the lord of 5 and is with or aspected by benefics, or if the lord of 5 is between two benefics or if Mercury is exalted or the lord of 5 is well situated and aspected or Mercury occupies 5 or, if the lord of the Navamsa occupied by Mercury is in quadrants aspected by benefics, the person becomes very intelligent. If 5H is between two good planets, Jupiter is in 5 and Mercury is favourable the person will have penetrating intelligence.
6. If LL is debilitated or is with malefics, the person will have no intelligence. If Saturn is in 5H or aspects the lord of birth, or the lord of the house occupied by Saturn is with evil planets there will be derangement of the brain.
7. If 5L is seen by malefics, and 5H is also aspected by them and is placed between two bad planets the person suffers from heart-disease.
8. If the lord of 5, is in 12 or with its lord and occupies unfavourable houses there will be heart-disease.
9. If the lord of the Navamsa occupied by the lord of 5, joins with or is aspected by malefics, the person suffers from disease of the heart and will be hard-hearted.
10. If 5L occupies an unfavourable sign and Mercury is in 12H not aspected by malefics, the person suffers from loss of memory.
11. If the lord of 5 is a male, a male planet occupies it, or a male planet aspects its lord and the Navamsa of 5 is a masculine one, the eldest born will be male. If 5 is feminine, the lord is a female and these aspected by feminine planets, the eldest born will be female. If Mercury and Saturn predominate and influence the child, it becomes a eunuch.
12. If Moon conjoins with a malefic planet & Rahu is in 8 / 12 / 5H » mental disorder.
13. Saturn as 5L in Capricorn gives female issues – 3 female issues
14. Saturn as 5L in Aquarius gives male issues – 5 sons
15. 5H is cancer with Moon » more female issues
16. Jupiter alone in 5H – no progeny
17. Saturn in own house in 5H – at least one son.
18. 5H is Capricorn with Mars – 3 Males
19. 5H is Capricorn with Venus – 1 Female
20. 5H is Capricorn with Moon – Female issues
21. 5H is Capricorn with Mer – Female issues
22. 5H is Capricorn or Aquarius with Jupiter – 5 Sons
23. 5H is Ar, Cn, Sc & Rahu / Ketu – delayed progeny
24. 4H has melefics or Jupiter in 5H & Moon in 8H » child after 30 years
25. If Moon is afflicted & in 1st Dreshkona – child after 45 years, 2nd dreshkona – after 7 years, 3rd dreshkona – after 9 years
26. If lord of 8H is benefic & is placed in 5H – Putra Dosha
27. If Libra Lagna and Sun in 5H – no putra
28. If Cancer or Pisces lagna, Sun in 5H – Alpa Putra Yoga or Bahu Kanya Yoga
29. If Sun in 5H other than Cancer & Pisces lagna, there will be one son & rest will be females
30. If lagna is Ta or Ge & Moon is in 5H – more of female progeny
31. Malefic Mars in 5H – male issue will not survive
32. Mer in 5H – one male issue after 3 or 4 female issues
33. Ven in 5H – good luck, large progeny
34. Sat in 5H – first child, a male would die during birth
35. Malefics in 3H & 4H – native will destroy lineage (vansha )

1. When Jupiter occupying thc 5th bhava is seen by a malefic planet, the loss of issues results in consequence of a deity’s curse. If Jupiter be in conjunction with or aspectcd by the lord of the 3rd bhava, the loss of children is due to the curse of Brahmins.
2. If the lord of the 5th bhava be in conjunction with Mars and aspected by the lord of the 6th bhava and is devoid of benefit aspect, the loss of issues should be traced to the wrong done to enemies.
3. If a malefic planet be in the 4th bhava and the lord of the 5th be in conjunction with Saturn and the 8th or the 12th bhava be occupied by a malefic planet, the loss of issues is in consequence of offence against the mother.
4. If a malefic planet occupy the 9th and the lord of the 5H be in conjunction with Saturn and if Mandi be in a Trikona position, the loss of children should be ascribed to offence against the father.
5. If the 5th bhava be occupied or aspected by Rahu or Ketu, or if the lord of the bhave be similary placed, the loss of children is brought on by offence against a serpent.
6. If Jupiter, 5L, 7L and Mars be together in one bhava, the wise asrrologer may declare the loss of sons and daughters to arise from trouble caused by evil deities.
7. The signs Taurus, Leo, Virgo and Scorpio are termed as childless rasis.
